• Football Welcomes Concordia for Homecoming Saturday

    Fresh off its bye week, the Gustavus football team is set to host Concordia at 1 p.m. Saturday on Homecoming. The Gusties enter the MIAC opener 2-0 while the Cobbers are 1-1.

    Two goals within 17 seconds of each other lifted the Gustavus women’s soccer team to a 3-1 win at Coe College on Wednesday night.

  • Men’s Tennis Kicks Off Fall Season at Division I Drake Invite

    The Gustavus men’s tennis team started its fall season this past weekend against Division I competition at the Drake Invite. Fourteen Gusties made the trip to the Roger Knapp Tennis Center, coming away with an 11-28 record in singles play and 4-17 mark in doubles.

  • Stumbo Named MIAC Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week

    Andrew Stumbo (Sr., Boone, Iowa) won the St. Olaf Invitational last Saturday with a time of 25:26.5 in a field of 224 runners. For his performance, Stumbo has been named MIAC Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week. 

  • Embacher Named MIAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

    Hailey Embacher (Sr., Mankato) notched 117 digs, 12 assists, and served five aces to help the Gusties to a 3-1 weekend at the Sandy Schumacher Memorial Tournament in Eau Claire, Wis. For her performances, Embacher has been named MIAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. 

  • Women’s Tennis Performs Well at Gustavus Invitational

    The Gustavus women’s tennis team kicked off its fall season by hosting a five-team invitational on Saturday and Sunday at the Swanson Tennis Center and Brown Outdoor Courts. The singles and doubles draws included Gustavus, U Mary, Sioux Falls, Minnesota State-Mankato, and Southwest Minnesota State.

  • Men’s Golf Tied for Eighth After First Round at NCAA D3 Preview

    The Gustavus men’s golf team shot a 293 (+5) on day one of the NCAA Division III Fall Preview on Sunday at the Las Colinas Golf Course at Mission Inn Resort & Club and is tied for eighth place.

  • Women’s Golf Ties for Third at Division III Classic

    The Gustavus women’s golf team wrapped up the second and final round of the Division III Classic on Sunday at Emerald Greens Golf Course, finishing in a tie for third place. The Gusties carded a 317-316-633 (+57), which was eight strokes behind the winner Bethel.

  • Softball Earns NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Awards

    The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) recently released its All-America Scholar-Athlete Awards and 11 Gustavus players were recognized. Athletes must achieve at least a 3.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) to be recognized as Scholar Athletes.

  • Women’s Soccer Wins MIAC Opener 4-1 at St. Scholastica

    In the inaugural meeting as conference opponents, the Gustavus women’s soccer team defeated St. Scholastica 4-1 Tuesday in the MIAC opener. The Gusties improve to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the MIAC, while the Saints drop to 0-4-1 overall and 0-1 in the league.
