Men’s Golf Tied For Sixth Place After Day One At Millikin Invite

After day one at the Take Back the Night Challenge, hosted by Millikin University, the Gustavus men’s golf team is tied for sixth place out of 17 teams. The Gusties carded a first round total of 306, which is 22 strokes behind the leader Illinois Wesleyan.

Women’s Golf In Seventh Place After Day One At Wartburg Invite

After day one at the Wartburg College Women’s Spring Invite, the Gustavus women’s golf team is in seventh place out of 12 teams. The Gusties fired a first round total of 332, which is 11 strokes behind the leader Carleton.

Baseball Swept By Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus baseball team suffered a sweep at the hands of Saint Mary’s on Saturday. The Gusties nearly erased a late deficit in game one, but lost 3-2 followed by a decisive 15-6 loss in the nightcap. The Black and Gold move to 9-10 overall and 1-3 in the MIAC.

Softball 50th Season Celebration Set For Sunday

A staple of the women’s athletic movement during the 1960s, softball at Gustavus was recognized as a varsity sport in 1969 after previously competing on an intramural basis. Over the past 49 years, Gustavus softball has compiled an all-time record of 835-521-4 and a mark of 514-223-3 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, including three league championships. The Gusties have earned a place in the NCAA Division III Tournament four times, which includes a third place finish in 2009.

Softball Splits With Macalester

After dropping game one Thursday night at the Augsburg Dome, the Gustavus softball team shut out Macalester in game two to salvage a split. The Gusties move to 7-15 overall and 3-5 in the MIAC, while the Scots move to 9-19 overall and 3-7 in the league.

[Thursday Update] MIAC Announces Revised Baseball Schedule, Playoff Format

Field conditions have bumped the scheduled pod of MIAC baseball games to Saturday-Monday at Saint John’s University’s Becker Park in Collegeville. Gustavus will now face Saint Mary's at 2 p.m. Saturday and Carleton at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Softball Sweeps Concordia For First Conference Victories

The Gustavus softball team picked up its first wins in conference play Tuesday, sweeping Concordia 7-1 and 5-3. Ashley Neuenfeldt (Fy., Bloomington, Minn.) won both games in the circle, going the distance in game one and four innings in the night cap.

Tudor Flintham Named Head Men’s Soccer Coach At Gustavus Adolphus College

Tudor Flintham has been named the head men’s soccer coach at Gustavus Adolphus College, which was announced Monday by Athletics Director Tom Brown. Flintham most recently completed his third season as the head men’s and women’s soccer coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
