    The Gustavus men’s and women’s cross country teams are set to compete in their first race since 2019 this Saturday at the Crown College Invitational in St. Bonifacius, Minn. The men’s 6k race begins at 11 a.m. with the women’s 5k set to start at 11:45 a.m.

    The Gustavus women’s soccer team travels to UW-Platteville for a 7 p.m. non-conference matchup on Friday. The Gusties are fresh off a season-opening 2-1 win at Central College on Wednesday, while the Pioneers also won their season opener 1-0 against Monmouth (Ill.) on Wednesday.

    The Gustavus women’s soccer team opened its 2021 season with a 2-1 non-conference victory at Central College on Wednesday afternoon. The Gusties scored both of their goals in the first half and staved off a late comeback effort by the Dutch to earn the win.

    The Gustavus cross country program is set to host its annual Alumni Meet on Saturday morning at the Linnaeus Arboretum. Last year’s race was cancelled due to the pandemic and this year’s race features a new course layout.

    Gustavus women’s sprinter Birgen Nelson (So., Edina) has been selected to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-America Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Third Team, which was announced Tuesday. Academic All-America Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

    Gustavus gymnast Brooke Merila (Jr., St. Michael) has been selected to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Third Team, which was announced Wednesday. Academic All-America Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

  • Women’s Golf Finishes Third in Division III WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award

    The Gustavus women’s golf team placed third in the Division III WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award with a GPA of 3.862. Macalester had the top GPA in Division III at 3.944 and the University of Texas at Dallas was second at 3.910.
