Piper Otto (So., Brooklyn Park) recorded a career-high 13 strikeouts in a MIAC-opening 4-1 victory for Gustavus at Augsburg on April 2. Otto pitched the complete seven innings, allowing one run on just three hits. Otto posted seven consecutive strikeouts from the first inning through the third.

Josh Christensen helped Gustavus to a sweep of Saint John’s in conference action over the weekend. After posting an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles, Christensen earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the top singles spot to improve to 2-0 in MIAC play on the year.
