    Two second half goals propelled the Gustavus women’s soccer team to a 3-1 victory over Hamline on Wednesday afternoon. The Gusties, who have clinched a spot in the MIAC playoffs, improve to 9-8 overall and 6-4 in the MIAC, while the Pipers drop to 7-7-1 overall and 3-6-1 in the league.

    Erik Gulbranson (Geology) and Morgan Mellum ’23 presented their research results at the annual GSA meeting in Portland, OR as a poster titled: “Paleoclimate-induced stress on polar forested ecosystems prior to the Permian–Triassic mass extinction.” Gulbranson also presented a talk titled: “Late Permian soil-forming paleoenvironments on Gondwana.”
