2021-22 Swim & Dive Season Preview

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams are set to begin their 2021-22 season Saturday at home as they host Morningside starting at noon. The teams begin their first full season since 2019-20 as they competed in a shortened 2021 February/March season. 

Volleyball Wins Over St. Scholastica in Straight Sets on Senior Night

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus volleyball hosted their final home match of the season against St. Scholastica and took a straight-set win with scores of 25-17, 25-17, and 25-20. With the victory the Gusties improve to 23-5 overall and 9-1 in the MIAC. Notably, the Gusties went undefeated this season on their home court and won seven out of eight of those matches in three sets.

Men’s Hockey Drops Season Opener 5-2 to Lawrence

The Gustavus men's hockey team kicked off its 2021-22 campaign Friday night at Don Roberts Ice Rink and suffered a 5-2 non-conference loss to Lawrence. 

Football Looks to Bounce Back Saturday at Carleton

The Gustavus football team hits the road Saturday for a 1 p.m. MIAC Northwoods Division matchup at Carleton. The Gusties enter the game 5-2 overall, 3-2 in the MIAC, and 1-1 in the division, while the Knights are 6-1 overall, 4-1 in the MIAC, and 1-1 in the division. 

Exemplary Employees Honored at Founders Day Celebration

The celebration, marking the 145th anniversary of the College’s relocation to Saint Peter, Minn., was held in Christ Chapel on October 29.

2021-22 Men’s Hockey Season Preview

The Gustavus men’s hockey team opens its 2020-21 campaign Friday night at 7 p.m. when the Gusties host Lawrence University featuring a roster loaded with underclassmen. Fourteen first-years and six sophomores have their sights on making an early impact.

Faculty Spotlight: Lisa Heldke

Lisa Heldke (Philosophy) and her collaborator Cynthia Belliveau were the plenary speakers at the annual John Dewey society conference, held in Burlington Vermont. Their presentation was entitled “Cooking to Learn: the John Dewey Kitchen Institute.”
