Gag, Poe Named MIAC Field Athletes of the Week

Gustavus track & field athletes Connor Gag (Sr., New Ulm) and Annika Poe (Jr., Big Lake) have been named MIAC Men’s and Women’s Field Athletes of the Week. 

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Gustavus track & field athletes Connor Gag (Sr., New Ulm) and Annika Poe (Jr., Big Lake) have been named MIAC Men’s and Women’s Field Athletes of the Week.

Gag registered a personal best discus score of 44.71m (146-08.00) at the Hamline Invitational over the weekend. The throw ranked third in the field and 39th in NCAA Division III this season.

Poe recorded the top shot put distance in the nation at the Hamline Invitational on April 2. Poe’s personal best throw of 14.19m (46-06.75) won the event and leads the nation by an inch and a half. She also placed 11th overall in the discus with a throw of 34.14m (112-00.00).
