Women’s Hockey Set to Host UW-Eau Claire Wednesday in NCAA Opening Round

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) on Sunday night announced the 10-team field for its Division III Women’s Ice Hockey Championship and Gustavus (22-3-2) is selected to host UW-Eau Claire (23-5-0) in the first round on Wednesday, March 9. Puck drop at Don Roberts Ice Rink is slated for 7 p.m.

Baseball Opens Season in Kansas

TOPEKA, Kansas – The Gustavus baseball team opened its season yesterday in Topeka. The Gusties fell to Luther in doubleheader losses 10-9 and 12-8. Gustavus won on Sunday against Simpson 14-10 before their second game was called due to weather. More detailed recap to follow.

Gymnastics Takes Seventh at WIAC/NCGA West Regional

WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Gustavus gymnastics team took seventh place at the WIAC/NCGA West Regional on Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater accumulating a total of 184.800 – the highest mark of the season. UW-Oshkosh won the meet with a 192.300. Additionally, senior Brooke Merila received the WIAC Judy Kruckman Women’s Gymnastics Scholar-Athlete Award.
