Men’s Basketball Wins 66-62 at Bethany Lutheran

MANKATO, Minn. -  The Gustavus men's basketball team traveled to Mankato on Monday night for a non-conference game against the Bethany Lutheran Vikings and took a 66-62 win. With the victory, the Gusties move to 3-3 overall and remain 1-1 in the MIAC. Jordan Schommer (Jr., Merrifield)had a team high 12 points and Nolan Malo (Sr., Owatonna) recorded eight rebounds.  

Gibbons and Hecht Named United Soccer Coaches All-Region

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches released its All-Region Teams on Monday and Matthew Gibbons (Sr., Minneapolis) and Jared Hecht (So.., Apple Valley) were named to the Region IX First Team.

Cocchiarella Named Women’s Soccer All-Region

The United Soccer Coaches announced its Division III All-Region Teams on Monday and Gustavus senior Page Cocchiarella (Owatonna) was named to the Region IX Third Team. Cocchiarella is one of five midfielders on the Third Team, which consists of 14 athletes.

Press Named MIAC Women’s Hockey Athlete of the Week

Tina Press (Sr., Cottage Grove) had a four-point game in Gustavus's 6-0 win at UW-Superior on Nov. 23. Press scored a pair of goals and added two assists to bring her season total to a team-high nine points. She had a +3 rating in the game with a power-play goal as well as the game-winning score.
