HASTINGS, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team concluded its weekend outings with a second place finish out of seven teams on Sunday. The Gusties finished with a total score of 644 (+68) and St. Catherine University won the event with a score of 627 (+68).

Emily Kratz (Jr., Edina) continued her momentum on Saturday to finish 75-81-156 (12) ranking fourth overall. Erin Ericson (Jr., Onalaska, Wis.) tied in ninth overall with final scores of 79-80-159 (+15) . Sydney Regalado (Jr., Rosemount) recorded a 81-83-164 (+20). Laurel Ward (So., Bozeman, Mont.) shot 83-82-165 (+21) and Hannah Hubbart (So., Hastings) rounded the scores out with 83-89-172 (+28).

“We had a difficult time finding a comfort level on the golf course today,” said Head Coach Scott Moe. “We just seemed a little bit out of sorts. I felt like we grinded pretty hard after some missed shots. Overall pleased with the weekends performance. Being able to watch our players compete for 18 holes, I was certainly able to see some things that we can work on this week as we prepare for the Wartburg Invitational.  Consistency with putting speed and short wedge shots will definitely see some attention this week.  It was great to see the site for the MIAC tourney in a tournament.”
