SAINT PETER, Minn. – The No. 15 Gustavus men’s tennis team hosted a pair of MIAC matches Saturday and took home two victories. The Gusties opened the morning with a 9-0 win over Concordia before finishing the day off with a 9-0 win over St. Thomas. With the victories, Gustavus moves to 9-2 overall.
“We had a great team effort today,” said Head Coach Tommy Valentini. ” Our doubles set the tone for us in both matches – tactically and in terms of our energy we played well in the doubles in both dual matches. A number of guys stepped up into key roles in singles throughout the day as we were able to lean on our depth. We’re thankful for a pair of positive results today, and look forward to continuing to grow when we get back at it next week.”
