ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s tennis team traveled to Hamline Friday and defeated the Pipers 9-0. With the win the Gusties will move to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the MIAC.

“The guys played very solid tonight,” said Head Coach Tommy Valentini. “Hamline was short-handed but came out swinging and competed well at 1 and 2 doubles. Luke and Joe did well to keep their composure early and once they found their game, they were in command. Lawrence and Joel weathered an early storm and made a few key adjustments while being very poised and were able to give us the 3-0 lead. From there everyone did well to execute their game plans in singles. We’re thankful for the win tonight and looking forward to bringing our best tomorrow.”
