Academic All-America Teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

    The Gustavus men’s tennis duo of Nick Aney (Jr., Rochester) and Alex Budde (So., Menomonee Falls, Wis.) are moving on to the NCAA Doubles Semifinals after defeating Daniel Blonquist and Marcos Dias of Southern Virginia 6-2, 6-1 Saturday at The Champions Club Tennis Complex at Rivermont Park.

    Ginger Valentine (Sr., Delano) will compete in the women’s singles tournament, Nick Aney (Jr., Rochester) will compete in the men’s singles draw, and then Aney will team with Alex Budde (So., Menomonee Falls, Wis.) for the doubles tournament.
