On Friday, the Gusties host St. Scholastica at 7:05 p.m. and then on Saturday the Black and Gold take on No. 7-ranked UW-Eau Claire at 7:05 p.m. The Gusties enter the weekend with a 1-7-2 overall record, St. Scholastica is 4-5-0, and UW-Eau Claire is 8-1-2. Gustavus is coming off a loss and a tie against Saint John’s last weekend, while the Saints were swept by Marian, and the Blugolds beat UW-River Falls and UW-Stout last weekend.

Men’s Hockey Back In Action Tonight At Saint John’s

The Gustavus men’s hockey team enters its third Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series of the season as it takes on the Saint John’s Johnnies in an away-home series Thursday and Saturday. The Gusties enter this weekend’s series with a 1-6-1 overall record (0-4 MIAC) after facing No. 10 Augsburg last weekend - the Gusties fell to the Auggies 3-0 in Minneapolis, followed by a close 2-1 loss in St. Peter. The Johnnies enter with a 5-4-1 overall record (2-2 MIAC) after dropping a 5-4 decision to Marian University, followed by a 6-1 win over Lawrence University. Both games were played at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center last weekend.

Don Roberts Celebration Of Life Service, 75th Season Celebration, Held Saturday

A celebration of life service in honor of legendary Gustavus men’s hockey coach Don Roberts will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at Christ Chapel on the College campus. The service is open to the public, as Chaplain Brian Konkol will preside along with the preaching of Dr. Richard Elvee.
