Teaching: French language, literature, and culture; Francophone literatures and cultures.
Research: Francophone African and Caribbean literatures and Cultures, African Folklore.

Active student engagement through class discussions; challenging students to be critical thinkers, and to open their minds to better understand and appreciate the world outside their own familiar environment.
What tips do you have for student success?
Be truthful about how much you take responsibility for your level of commitment to your academic work. Never procrastinate.
What campus traditions are your favorite?
The annual big festivals organized by some student organizations; Christmas in Christ Chapel.
What is your favorite class to teach?
I don’t have one favorite class to teach. So, I would say any language and culture course that gives me an opportunity to share with students my knowledge of the Francophone world; any course on Africa or the Caribbean.
