KANSAS CITY, Mo. – United Soccer Coaches recently announced the College Team Academic Award winners, recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year. The Gustavus women’s soccer team earned recognition with the Women’s Team Academic Award with the second highest cumulative GPA (3.78) in all of NCAA Division III. Amherst (Mass.) was one point (3.79) higher than the Gusties for the top GPA in the country.
A total of 797 soccer teams (298 men, 499 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2021-22 academic year. Of that total, 149 schools had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.
