Men’s Tennis Falls 6-3 to Brandeis in ITA National Championships, Tops Northwestern at Home 9-0

Written by David Youngs The Gustie men kept the courts full on Saturday with a pair of evening matches spreading across the Midwest. Gustavus continued their 2022 ITA Indoor National Championships weekend against Brandeis while also hosting Northwestern (MN) at home. 

Men’s Hockey Drops Heartbreaker in OT to No. 4 Augsburg in MIAC Quarterfinals

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - After going goal-for-goal against the No. 4 nationally ranked Auggies, the Gustavus men's hockey team fell in overtime 4-3 in the MIAC Championship Quarterfinals. With the loss, the Gusties end the 2021-22 season 6-16-4 overall.

Women’s Tennis Splits Weekend Affair Against NSIC Foes

Fresh off a bye weekend, the Gustavus women's tennis team covered the Land of 10,000 Lakes with a pair of non-conference matchups against NSIC opponents on Saturday. Half of the team competed at home against Winona State while the other half headed north to take on Minnesota-Duluth at a neutral site in Virginia, Minn. 

Women’s Hockey Starts Strong in 5-1 Playoff Win Over Concordia

No. 6 Gustavus women's hockey Saturday afternoon got off to a quick start with two goals in the first 10 minutes and went on to beat Concordia 5-1 in a MIAC playoff quarterfinal game at Don Roberts Ice Rink. The Gusties improve to 20-3-2 and will host St. Scholastica in a MIAC semifinal game on Wednesday night.

Women’s Track & Field Takes Second at MIAC Indoor Championships, Men Sixth

Gustavus track & field wrapped up the MIAC Indoor Championships on Saturday at Carleton College with the women taking second place and the men finishing sixth.

Gymnastics Breaks School Record on Vault Against UW-Oshkosh

SAINT PETER, Minn. - The Gustavus gymnastics team hosted UW-Oshkosh on Saturday afternoon while honoring its seniors, Brooke Merila (Sr., St. Michael), Sophie Redding (Sr., Saint Paul), and Lauren Smith (Sr., Mangatangi, New Zealand). The Gusties set a new team record on vault and scored 182.40 overall to the Titans 188.800

Women’s Track & Field in Fourth After Day One of MIAC Indoor Championships, Men Eighth

The Gustavus men's and women's track & field teams concluded day one of the MIAC Indoor Championships on Friday at Carleton College with the women in fourth place (57.5) and the men in eighth place (19).

Women’s Hoops Controls Bethel Start to Finish, Advances to MIAC Championship

The Gustavus women's basketball team had one of its most dominating performances of the season Friday night, defeating Bethel 74-40 in the MIAC semifinals. The Gusties, now 21-4 overall, advance to their sixth MIAC playoff championship game in program history where they will travel to top-seeded Augsburg (21-5) for a 2 p.m. Sunday tipoff in Minneapolis.
