Sandestin, Fla. – The Gustavus men’s golf team is currently in seventh place following moving day at the Golfweek DIII Invitational after shooting 286 in the second round. Combined with their first round score of 296, the Gusties total 582 (+14). Emory leads the tournament by 18 strokes.

“Good round today,” said Head Coach Scott Moe. “Hoppe came through big on back nine and we finished well again. Solid play again by our top three leaves them in the top 16, and this is a great field to be sitting there with one round to go. Excited to play again tomorrow. we’ve left ourselves in a good spot.  This is a course that can open itself up to some birdies and we hope the putters get hot overnight and we finish on a good note.”

Jacob Pedersen (Sr., Minnetonka) leads off for the Gusties shooting 70-72-142. Max Ullan (Sr., Blaine) and Wyatt Wasko (Jr., Lake Elmo) continue to tie with 73-70-143 each, followed by Andrew Hoppe (Jr., Mankato) carding 80-74-154.
