SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s soccer team lost 2-0 at St. Catherine University on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties drop to 4-6 overall and 1-4 in the MIAC, while the Wildcats improve to 6-2-1 overall and 3-1 in the league.
St. Kate’s scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 20th minute and held a 1-0 advantage at halftime. The second goal came in the 68th minute on a penalty kick.
Abby Goodno (Sr., Little Canada) took the loss in net after making six saves. The Wildcats outshot the Gusties 18-9.
Gustavus travels to UW-La Crosse on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. non-conference contest.
