BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Gustavus volleyball players Hailey Embacher (Sr., Mankato) and Madi Kes (So., Jordan) have been named MIAC Volleyball Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Embacher guided the Gusties to four victories at the Cornell tournament, passing 2.36 in serve-receive while adding 5.53 digs per set. Embacher totaled 83 digs with 18 assists and three service aces on the weekend. Kes was a major contributor to the four victories with her offensive performances, totaling 48 kills on 83 attempts while only making six errors to hit .494 for the weekend. The sophomore also had 1.27 blocks per set.
