Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth at Saint Benedict

The Gustavus women’s golf team placed fourth out of 14 teams in final rounds on Sunday. The Gusties finished with an overall score of 326-321-647.

SARTELL, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team placed fourth out of 14 teams in final rounds on Sunday. The Gusties finished with an overall score of 326-321-647. Bethel won the invite with a combined total of 637.

“Better day overall by the women but we still need to get comfortable with posting some lower scores,” said Head Coach Scott Moe.  “It was nice to see a few birdies fall, just need to make sure we are avoiding multiple bogeys.  I feel good as we get ready for Wartburg next weekend.”

Emily Kratz (Sr., Edina) led off for the Gusties shooting 79-80-159 tying eighth overall. Erin Ericson (Sr., Onalaska, Wis.) and Sydney Regalado (Sr., Rosemount) carded 80-80-160 tying in eleventh, while Laurel Ward (Jr., Bozeman, Mont.) tied in 24th shooting 87-81-168. Annika Reierson (So., Delano) shot 90-83-173, followed by Hannah Hubbart (Jr., Hastings) with 87-88-175. Kristin Martens (Jr., Sartell) rounded out the lineup shooting 94-95-179.

The Gusties will travel to Waverly, Iowa on Saturday to play in weekend rounds at Wartburg.
