Men’s Golf Finishes Day One of Bobby Krig Invitational

NEW PRAGUE, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s golf team currently sits in fourth place out of fifteen teams after day one of their home invite after recording a 308 (+24) on Sunday. University of Wisconsin Eau Claire currently leads with a 295 (+11).  Jacob Pedersen (Jr., Minnetonka) leads individually after shooting 70 in his first round.

“As far as our guys go today, we got off to a really shaky start,” said Head Coach Scott Moe. “This is a course where your misses need to be in a decent spot, and we seem to find ourselves on the wrong side of the hole a number of times on the first nine holes. We did a good job of battling back on the back nine to put ourselves in an ok position going into tomorrow’s round at our home course. Jacob had a great day today, was in very good control, and finds himself leading by two. We can play well on our home course tomorrow, but it will need to start right away.”
