The Gustavus Adolphus College Department of Music will present two virtual concerts this weekend. Along with the upcoming Winds of Christmas performance on Tuesday, December 8 and the premiere of Christmas in Christ Chapel on Saturday, December 19, the weekend concerts represent the culmination of an unusual semester marked by the COVID-19 pandemic—with musicians wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and rehearsing in new spaces on campus.
On Saturday, December 5, the Gustavus Philharmonic Orchestra and Gustavus Campus Band will present their virtual fall concert at 7:30 p.m.
The Gustavus Chamber Winds, the Gustavus Wind Symphony, and the Gustavus Wind Orchestra will join together in concert on Sunday, December 6 at 1:30 p.m.
Both performances will be streamed on the Gustavus Fine Arts YouTube channel and available to watch on-demand following the concert debut.
