Senior Capstone: LGBT migrants from Latin America report persecution as a reason for seeking asylum in the USA. While scholars have analyzed this issue, less focus has been placed on the racism and heterosexism within the migration process itself. Asylum seekers are re-traumatized by their treatment as they attempt to enter the USA, rather than supported in their efforts. This project aims to highlight the struggles LGBT migrants face during the migration process.
