The Gustavus baseball team outhit Concordia 19-12 on Tuesday, but ended up losing a pair of MIAC games 5-0 and 4-2, dropping to 13-17 overall and 4-10 in the league.
The Gustavus Adolphus College baseball team swept St. Olaf College in Saturday’s doubleheader after winning the first game 15-2 and the second 9-8. The Gusties are now 12-15 overall and 4-8 in the MIAC while the Oles fall to 8-19 overall and 2-10 in the league.
The Gustavus baseball team suffered a pair of tough losses to Macalester on Friday. After leading 4-1 in game one, the Gusties gave up eight unanswered runs in a 9-4 loss, followed by an 11-inning 10-6 loss to fall to 11-15 overall and 2-8 in the MIAC.

Due to expected rain throughout the day Wednesday, both the Gustavus baseball and softball home doubleheaders have been postponed. Baseball’s originally scheduled 2:30 p.m. game against Macalester has been postponed to tomorrow - same time and same place - while softball’s originally scheduled 3:30 p.m. game against St. Catherine has been postponed to Sunday, May 1 starting at 1 p.m.
The Gustavus baseball team on Monday swept Martin Luther College for the second time this season, defeating the Knights by scores of 5-2 and 9-1 to improve to 11-13 overall. Sam Archer (Fy., Zimmerman, Minn.) was the story of the day as he pitched a complete game two-hitter in the nightcap. Archer's two-hit performance marked the fewest hits allowed by a Gustie since Cody Sukalski gave up just two hits in a 1-0 win (7 inn.) over Carleton on April 29, 2011.
