HOW TO GUSTIE
- PACKING LIST: Add over-the-door hooks to your list if you’re looking to maximize space. These are especially useful for winter coats and towels.
- GUSTIE LINGO: Rundy: noun, the nickname given to the residence hall officially known as Rundstrom Hall. First opened in 1938 and named for French and mathematics professor Inez Rundstrom who worked at Gustavus from 1894–1942, this historic building typically houses sophomores and juniors. It’s located next to the Gustavus sign.
- UNSPOKEN RULE: Always take the free stuff, especially on free popcorn Fridays. Head down to the information desk in the campus center on Friday afternoons to find Campus Activities Board members serving up a snack.
- CAF CREATION: Visit the bread station in the caf to take your meal up a notch! This is where you’ll find bagels, buns, and assorted breads, as well as toasters and toppings. Pro tip: this is where peanut butter, jelly, and honey are located.
- ACRONYM DEFINED: The Organization for Latin American Students is often referred to as OLAS.
AROUND RING ROAD
- LOCAL GEM: Looking to explore the art scene in town? Stop by the Arts Center of Saint Peter for exhibitions, classes, workshops, and more!
- SECRET SPOT: Visit the lower level of the library to find some musical masterpieces in the jazz record collection.
- INSTAGRAM: Campus has been showing off the last few weeks. Check out some of the best blooms!
