· faithfully represent the student body and share feedback on library space, collections, and services
· be interested in gaining experience with budgeting, marketing, and event planning through the execution of at least one major outreach event or program per semester
· work with library staff to engage students through social media avenues and other library programming
· devote 4 to 6 hours per month to the advisory board, including attending required monthly meetings
Further expectations of successful candidates include a demonstrated desire for leadership experience, an interest in connecting with students of all backgrounds, and the ability to take an active role in providing library activities that enhance the overall student experience.
The advisory board will be overseen by members of the library staff who will be present for the meetings, provide guidance and suggestions for successful event planning, and be available for any issues or questions that may arise.
