Iza Taylor is from Golden Valley, Minnesota. She chose Gustavus because of its rich history and language programs, and she’s experienced how the learning community atmosphere in the LALACS Department has been very welcoming.
Taylor chose a Psychology major because of her fascination with human behavior and added the LALACS minor. One standout classroom experience for her was delving into the subject of SPA-200, focusing on border crossings. She found it captivating to explore both sides of the migration narrative, infusing a humane perspective that the media portrayals often miss.
Taylor frequently engages with Spanish tutors, valuing their relaxed approach to teaching writing and speaking Spanish. This interaction has significantly enhanced her Spanish skills. Among her favorite professors, Dr. Dwyer stands out, as Taylor feels at ease sharing thoughts within a comfortable and secure environment.
