Women’s Tennis Earns ITA Academic Honors

Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Award

The United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Thursday that 1,333 collegiate and high school volleyball teams earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award this season. This marks an all-time record number of programs honored for their academic achievements. The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale. The Gustavus volleyball team earned recognition with the Team Academic Award for the seventh season in a row.

Swim & Dive Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently announced that the Gustavus Adolphus College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams have earned Scholar All-America honors for their efforts in the classroom during the Spring 2023 semester.  The Gustavus men and women were two of the 298 Division III programs to earn the honor after posting GPAs of 3.60 and 3.61 respectively.

Six Gusties Named WGCA All-American Scholars

The 2022-23 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced its All-American Scholar Team earlier in the month, and six Gustavus women’s golfers were recognized with the honor. The six women were of 1,401 collegiate golfers from 378 programs recognized with this prestigious honor.

Track & Field Garners USTFCCCA Academic Awards

The Gustavus track & field teams recently earned multiple honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the 2022 outdoor season. Seven Gusties received All-Academic Athlete recognition, while both the men’s and women’s squads were named All-Academic Teams. The Gustie men and women earned All-Academic Team recognition with a 3.22 and 3.51 team GPA, respectively.
