MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team took sixth place Monday at the MIAC Championships, played at Bunker Hills Golf Club. The Gusties shot a three-round total of 330-331-331-992 (+116). Carleton won the conference championship with a total of 912.
Annika Reierson (Jr., Delano) led the Gusties with a total of 80-80-78-238 (+19) and finished in 14th place. Laurel Ward (Sr., Bozeman, Mont.) tied for 17th at 83-80-79-242. Kristin Martens (Sr., Sartell) finished 27th at 80-83-87-250, and Emily Kolb (Fy., Sioux Falls, S.D.) wrapped up the top four scores at 87-88-87-262 for 34th place. Zada Olig (Sr., Wayzata) took 47th at 90-96-92-278.
Kyra Venne of St. Kate’s won medalist honors with a total of 222.
Gustavus wraps up the fall season Oct. 16-18 at the D3 Golfweek Challenge in Destin, Fla.
