NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Lightning and storms cut the first round short at the Carleton St. Olaf Spring Invite on Saturday at Willingers Golf Club. The Gusties finished on holes 12, 13, and 14 and are 32-over par, sitting in fourth place out of 14 teams.

“Sounds like our plan will be to return to the course in the morning to finish round one and then head across town and play our second round if weather and daylight permits,” Head Coach Scott Moe said. “Very windy conditions today. We hope to go back out first thing in the morning, finish our round strong and have an opportunity to play a full 18 for our final event of the spring.”

Sydney Regalado (Sr., Rosemount) leads the Gusties with six-over 58 through 13 holes and is tied for seventh place. Annika Reierson (So., Delano) is tied for eighth with a 55 through 12 holes. Erin Ericson (Sr., Onalaska, Wis.) is tied for 15th at 63 through 14 holes, and Emily Kratz (Sr., Edina) is tied for 25th at 68 though 14 holes.

The second round is scheduled for Sunday at Northfield Golf Club.
