WINONA, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s tennis team kicked off conference play Sunday with a 9-0 victory at Saint Mary’s. The Gusties improve to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the MIAC, while the Cardinals drop to 2-1 overall and 0-1 in the league.
The Gusties started the afternoon with 8-2 wins at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles, and completed the doubles sweep with an 8-6 win at No. 2. The top five singles spots were won in straight sets with only the No. 6 singles matchup going to a third set.
