Abegglen Earns Fifth MIAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week

Andrew Abegglen (Jr., Mound) made a 31-yard field goal late in Gustavus’s 39-7 victory at Concordia to tie the program record of 13 made field goals in a season. He is now tied with Ryan Boutwell – who went 13-of-18 in 1997 – for the school record.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Andrew Abegglen (Jr., Mound) made a 31-yard field goal late in Gustavus’s 39-7 victory at Concordia to tie the program record of 13 made field goals in a season. He is now tied with Ryan Boutwell – who went 13-of-18 in 1997 – for the school record. Abegglen finished the season 13-of-17 on field goal tries with a long of 42. His 13 made field goals are fourth-most in NCAA Division III this season. Abegglen also made all four extra points in Saturday’s game and had seven kickoffs for an average of 48.7 yards, including one touchback. For his performance, Abegglen earns MIAC Special Teams Player of the Week for the fifth time this season.
