Women’s Golf Places Second Against Division II Field

he Gustavus women’s golf team placed second out of 10 Division II teams in the final round of the EverSpring Inn Mustang Invite carding a 620. Augustana won the tournament with a total score of 603. Emily Kratz (Sr., Edina) tied in second overall as an individual carding 76-74-150.

MARSHALL, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team placed second out of 10 Division II teams in the final round of the EverSpring Inn Mustang Invite carding a 620. Augustana won the tournament with a total score of 603. Emily Kratz (Sr., Edina) tied in second overall as an individual carding 76-74-150.

“Outstanding tournament by our women,” said Head Coach Scott Moe “Finishing second in that field was a great accomplishment. The number of our players had great rounds, led by runner-up finisher Emily Kratz with a 76-74 showing. Laurel and Sydney through and 75 and 79 respectively. Great overall effort, very exciting as it leads us into our conference tournament this next weekend, I think we are in a great spot right now. Looking forward to our week of preparation.”

Erin Ericson (Sr., Onalaska, Wis.) placed thirteenth with marks of 74-83-157, Laurel Ward (Jr., Bozeman, Mont.) shot 84-75-159, while Sydney Regalado (Sr., Rosemount) shot 81-79-160 tying in 24th, and Annika Reierson (So., Delano) carded a 78-84-162 that held solid for 28th.

The Gusties now prepare for the MIAC Championship beginning on October 2nd.
