SARTELL, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team finished with a score of 326 after day one of the Saint Benedict Invitational. The team currently sits in fifth place with Carleton and St. Catherine ahead by nine strokes.
“It felt great to be back to normal playing conditions with opponents from other schools,” said Head Coach Scott Moe. “I felt like we did some really good things today, we had a fantastic attitude and approach to the day. Tomorrow we will do a better job of getting out of the blocks and also finishing our rounds. Our three seniors played steady golf today, looking forward to having all of our players have a solid day they are proud of. We can definitely make up some ground.”
Emily Kratz (Sr., Edina) leads the pack tied in eighth overall, shooting 79. Erin Ericson (Sr., Onalaska, Wis.) and Sydney Regalado (Sr., Rosemount) are tied in twelfth after shooting 80. Laurel Ward (Jr., Bozeman, Mont.), Hannah Hubbart (Jr., Hastings), and Zada Olig (Jr., Wayzata) recorded 87, Annika Reierson (So., Delano) shot 90 in her sophomore season debut, and Kristin Martens (Jr., Sartell) rounded out the scores with a 94.
