Men’s Tennis Tops Bethel 9-0

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s tennis team topped Bethel 9-0 Monday at the Bloomington Lifetime Fitness, improving to 13-2 overall and 8-0 in the MIAC.

The guys came out with great energy today in the doubles,” Head Coach Tommy Valentini said. “Each team handled some close early moments well and we were able to establish our game after that on all three courts. We played great first sets in the singles with the momentum coming out of doubles. Oscar and Joe stepped in at five and six and handled the key moments very well. It was fun to get out and compete today. We put together a very good team effort. We’re thankful for the result and will look to build on it moving forward.”
