NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Gustavus women’s golf team concluded day one of the Carleton-St. Olaf Spring Invite. The team currently sits in first place out of eleven teams competing with a total score of 327 (+39), one stroke ahead of St. Kate’s.
“Course was set up extremely tough today,” said Head Coach Scott Moe “We had to be very patient and willing to accept making some bogeys. We finished strong to put us in the lead. Hoping we get a chance to play tomorrow at Northfield golf club, it’s a great course.”
Emily Kratz (Jr., Edina) leads the team and ties third overall after shooting a 79 (+7), Erin Ericson (Jr., Onalaska, Wis.) sits a stroke behind tied in fifth place shooting an 80 (+8), followed by Laurel Ward (So., Bozeman, Mont.) with a mark of 81 (+9) to rank ninth overall. Sydney Regalado (Jr., Rosemount) currently ranks 25th overall after shooting an 87 (+15) and Hannah Hubbart (So., Hastings) rounds out the scores with a 94 (+22).
The team concludes the event on Sunday in Northfield.
