BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Birgen Nelson (So., Edina) won both the 100-meter dash and 100-hurdles at last weekend’s Carleton Relays with times of 12.40 and 14.07, respectively. Her time of 14.07 in the 100-hurdles broke her own program record and is the top time in NCAA Division III this season. Nelson currently leads the MIAC in the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 100-hurdles. For her performance, Nelson has been named MIAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week.
