The Gustavus men’s tennis team sent a squad out to California to match up against some of the nation’s best talent at the Stag-Hen Invitational, hosted by No. 5 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The Gusties faced No. 13 Trinity University (Texas) in their first match of the weekend, defeating the Tigers 5-2.

The Gusties were in full form following their impressive sixth-place finish in the ITA Men’s Indoor Championships the weekend before. Rolling to a 9-0 sweep of Hamline and an 8-1 win over Luther, the Gusties improve their record to 10-4 overall and 4-0 in the MIAC. 

Nick Aney helped the Gusties to a sixth place team finish among seven of the top-10 teams in the country at the ITA Indoor Championships over the weekend. In the No. 1 doubles spot, Aney went 2-1 over three matches, including a win over No. 10 Emory’s top pair – the NCAA runners-up from 2022.…

Gustavus Adolphus College is set to host this year’s ITA Division III Men’s Team Indoor Championship, welcoming some of the best talent in Division III to Saint Peter for the tournament with first serve to take place this Friday.

Men’s tennis had a perfect day in matches against UW-Eau Claire and conference opponent Saint Mary’s Saturday morning and afternoon, rolling to a pair of 9-0 wins over both opponents. 

The Gustavus men’s tennis team competed in a series of three matches on Saturday, hosting St. Olaf for the team’s first MIAC matchup of the season, followed by Central later in the day. The Gusties also sent a squad to Duluth for a MIAC contest with St. Scholastica.
