Football Uses All-Around Performance to Take Down UW-Stout 41-31

The Gustavus football team looked strong in all facets on Saturday as they took down UW-Stout 41-31 at Don & Nona Williams Stadium in Menomonie, Wis. With the win the Gusties move to 2-0 on the season while the Blue Devils fall to 0-2.

Football Set for Home Opener Versus Martin Luther Saturday

The Gustavus football team welcomes Martin Luther to Hollingsworth Field at 1 p.m. Saturday for its home opener. The Gusties finished 6-4 last season while the Knights finished 9-2.

2019 Football Season Preview

The Gustavus football team will kick off its 2019 campaign Saturday at Hollingsworth Field as the Gusties host the Martin Luther College Knights for a 1 p.m. contest. Last season the Gusties finished 6-4 overall including a 5-3 mark in the MIAC to finish fourth.

Five Gusties Named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Wednesday announced the members of the 2019 NFF Hampshire Honor Society. Gustie seniors earning a place on this year’s team include Jamison Beulke (Montgomery, Minn.), Michael Hensch (North Branch, Minn.), Sean Kelly (Shorewood, Minn.), Jack Sorenson (West St. Paul, Minn.), and Tanner Sparrow (Edina, Minn.).

Football Announces 2019 Summer Camp Dates

The Gustavus football program has set dates for its 2019 summer camps: June 13-14, and 19-21.

Finch Named D3football.com All-West Region First Team

D3football.com released its All-West Region Teams on Tuesday morning and Gustavus junior tight end Brayton Finch (Mount Morris, Ill.) is named to the First Team Offense. Finch is the first Gustie football player to be named All-West First Team since wide receiver Matthew Boyce in 2015.

Four Gusties Named MIAC Football First Team All-Conference

The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released its football postseason awards Tuesday and four Gustavus student-athletes were named First Team All-Conference – Matt Berkner (Sr., Sleepy Eye, Minn.), Brayton Finch (Jr., Mount Morris, Ill.), Brice Panning (Jr., Hamburg, Minn.), and Michael Veldman (Jr., Becker, Minn.).

Football Finishes Season With 29-20 Win at St. Olaf

The Gustavus football team battled freezing and snowy conditions at St. Olaf on Saturday afternoon and wrapped up its 2018 season with a 29-20 win. The Gusties finish the season 6-4 overall and 5-3 in the MIAC.
