The NCGE is a non-profit organization chartered in 1915 to enhance the status and quality of geography teaching and learning.

    Jeff La Frenierre (Environment, Geography, and Earth Sciences) and his student Scott Knowlton were featured in a story that aired on Swedish public television.     Erik Gulbranson (Environment, Geography, and Earth Sciences) has been invited to serve on the Editorial Board for the Nature Portfolio journal Scientific Reports. His term on the Board began in June 2023.

  • Erik Gulbranson, 2023 Mansergh Faculty Scientific Research Award Winner

    Erik Gulbranson (Environment, Geography, and Earth Sciences) was selected as the 2023 recipient of the Mansergh Faculty Scientific Research Award. This talk, “A global perspective of soil-forming conditions during the late Pennsylvanian: potential stochastic forcing by geosphere–biosphere carbon pools,” will be presented in early July 2023.
