Six Gusties Named WGCA All-American Scholars

The 2022-23 Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced its All-American Scholar Team earlier in the month, and six Gustavus women’s golfers were recognized with the honor. The six women were of 1,401 collegiate golfers from 378 programs recognized with this prestigious honor.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — The 2022-23 Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced its All-American Scholar Team earlier in the month, and six Gustavus women’s golfers were recognized with the honor. The six women were of 1,401 collegiate golfers from 378 programs recognized with this prestigious honor.

Gustavus student-athletes recognized include Hannah Hubbart (Sr., Hastings), Lauren Hubbart (Fy., Hastings), Annika Reierson (Jr., Delano), Emily Kolb (Fy., Sioux Falls, S.D.), Laurel Ward (Sr., Bozeman, Mont.), and Kristin Martens (Sr., Sartell).

To be selected to the All-American Scholar Team, a student-athlete must:

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher
  • Be an amateur and on the team’s roster through the conclusion of the team’s season
  • Have played in 50% of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team’s conference championship
