BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Hailey Holland (Sr., Aberdeen, S.D) and Katie McCoy (Sr., Grafton, Wis.) were named MIAC Women’s Hockey Athletes of the Week, the league office announced Monday. Hailey Holland scored six points in the Gusties’ two games, scoring three in each. Holland posted three helpers in the Gusties 5-0 win over Concordia on Friday, and followed the performance up with two goals and an assist in the 9-0 win the next day. With Holland’s first goal on Saturday, she netted her 100th career point, becoming just the 14th Gustie to do so, and joining Tina Press as the second active player with 100. Holland is now tied for 12th in all-time program points, reaching the milestone in just 87 games played.

Katie McCoy posted back-to-back shutouts over the weekend to lead the Gusties to a sweep over Concordia. McCoy made 15 saves through the two games, earning her second and third-straight shutouts. McCoy’s shutout brings her to 27 in her career, good for second among all active NCAA goalies – male or female. For their performances, Holland and McCoy were named MIAC Women’s Hockey Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week.
