Senior Spotlight: Jessica Logue

Jessica Logue is a Music and Psychology major from Chaska, Minnesota. She performed with the Gustavus Wind Symphony, the Gustavus Wind Orchestra, and chamber music ensembles. Professor Ruth Lin says “Jess works hard and is persistent. I hope that she has the opportunity to go after what she wants to do in the future.”

We asked Jessica about her time at Gustavus and her goals for the future.

What are your plans for the future?
JL: “I will be nannying and continuing to work on music.”

What will you miss most about music at Gustavus?
JL: “I’ll miss the people! I’ve met my best friends through being involved in music here!”

What’s a favorite memory you have from studying music at Gustavus?
JL: “The bus ride to and from Chicago for CBDNA.”

How have you grown in your time at Gustavus?
JL: “I’ve become so much more confident and I feel like I can actually call myself a musician!”

What do you look forward to most about life after Gustavus?
JL: “I look forward to just seeing what the future holds and being able to adventure!”

What’s one piece of advice you’d give high school students considering Gustavus?
JK: “Be prepared because you’ve never done anything like this but it will be the best times of your life.”

What has been your proudest moment in your time at Gustavus?
JK: “I would say sophomore year as a whole because I grew the most and really became me!”

What is the most interesting class you’ve taken at Gustavus and why?
JK: “I loved child development because it was a lot of fun and really fascinating!”
