Yurie Hong (Greek, Latin, and Classical Studies) delivered an invited lecture entitled “Birthing Ideas in Ancient Greece and the Modern World: A Personal and Professional Story” at Pomona College in February. She delivered a revised version of this lecture at the University of Washington, Seattle on March 4 and led a graduate workshop on the myth of Persephone and arranged marriage in Greece and South Korea as part of a departmental series on identity, scholarship, and pedagogy.
