Every Tuesday, the Gustavus COVID-19 Response Leadership Team will send out a weekly update that includes tips and reminders, policy updates, and information about on-campus COVID-19 cases. These messages are sent to all students, faculty, and staff along with Gustavus parents who have an email address on file with the College.
WEEKLY TIP
Final Mass Testing Event Tomorrow: On Wednesday, December 15 from 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., COVID-19 testing will be available on the second floor of Lund Center overlooking Gus Young Court. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to get tested before the end of the semester to help protect people who you will be interacting with over holiday break. No appointment is required. Mass testing will resume on Mondays and Wednesdays in January.
Vaccine Efficacy & Boosters: Continued research on COVID-19 vaccines indicates that their effectiveness diminishes over time. All students, faculty, and staff who have not yet received a COVID-19 booster shot are strongly encouraged to get their booster shot over holiday break. Learn more about COVID-19 boosters via the CDC.
Masking: During January Term, Gustavus will continue its current mask requirement (Level II). Learn more about the College’s masking levels and requirements on the COVID-19 Masking Criteria webpage.
