COVID-19 Weekly Update: November 30, 2021

Every Tuesday, the Gustavus COVID-19 Response Leadership Team will send out a weekly update that includes tips and reminders, policy updates, and information about on-campus COVID-19 cases. These messages are sent to all students, faculty, and staff along with Gustavus parents who have an email address on file with the College.

WEEKLY TIP

Stay Vigilant: Gustavus is in regular communication with the Minnesota Department of Public Health as we continue to learn more about the newly-discovered omicron variant of COVID-19. Members of the community are reminded to stay diligent by properly wearing a mask, getting tested regularly, and promptly reporting any possible COVID-19 symptoms, exposure, or positive test results using the College’s self-reporting form.

Mass Testing Tomorrow: Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to stop by Lund Center tomorrow (Wednesday) between 8:30-10:30 a.m. to take a COVID-19 test as the campus community returns after Thanksgiving break. If you would prefer to find other testing opportunities this week, please visit the Health Service’s Testing Resources page, which is regularly updated with testing options on and off campus.

Vaccine Booster Opportunity: Members of the Gustavus community are encouraged to take part in a vaccine booster clinic on Thursday, December 9 in the Gustavus Health Service. Appointments are required and can be scheduled using the Gustavus health portal. The December 9 event will be the only time booster vaccines are available on campus in December. To explore other vaccination opportunities in the area, visit the Health Service Vaccine Resources webpage.

This information, along with statistics from the 2020-2021 academic year, is also available for viewing on the College’s COVID-19 Dashboard History page.

As always, if you have any questions, please consult the College’s COVID-19 website and email g-covidresponse@gustavus.edu.
