On March 26, 2021, the Psychological Science Department, inducted 35 new students into the Psi Chi organization during a Covid safe ceremony.
Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, was founded in 1929 with a mission of recognizing and promoting excellence in the science and application of psychology. In order to become a member of Psi Chi, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above and have earned a cumulative GPA that is in the top 35% of their class. The leadership team for the 2020-2021 academic year includes, Dr. Mark Kruger (advisor), and executive board leaders Sophia Pletcher, Callie Coleman, and Jake Christensen. Psi Chi membership is lifelong.
