Ian Burch ’00 was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church on January 5th, 2014. He is beginning his tenure as the Associate Rector of St. Chrysostom’s Episcopal Church in downtown Chicago. Ian has been serving as a hospital chaplain for 9 years, and is excited to try something new and begin his parish ministry.
Marianna Rose Roberts was born to Adam Roberts ’03 and Michelle (Horrigan) Roberts ’06 on November 13, 2013.
In December, Kirsten Engel ’11 recieved her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Dakota. She will continue on in their Ph.D. program.
Craig Karnitz ’97, along with his wife Beth Hadland Karnitz ’99, they had their first child Franklin Michael Karnitz on September 17. After 7 years working at the American School in Japan in Tokyo they will be moving to Doha, Qatar to teach at the American School of Doha.

Brandon Dahlquist ’02 will be making his Broadway debut this winter in BRONX BOMBERS, Eric Simonson’s new play about the New York Yankees. Dahlquist will understudy five roles including ‘Lou Gehrig’, ‘Mickey Mantle’ and ‘Thurman Munson’ with performances beginning January 10th at Circle in the Square Theatre. Jane Simonsen ’93 received a Fulbright senior lecturer grant for 2014 and will be traveling with her family to Regensburg, Germany to teach in the Amerikanistik (American Studies) department.
