No. 17 Women’s Hoops Meets No. 3 St. Thomas Wednesday For Matchup Of Unbeatens

The No. 17/21-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College women’s basketball team is set to host the No. 3/4-ranked University of St. Thomas Wednesday evening. The matchup brings together two unbeaten teams with the 19-0 (12-0 MIAC) Gusties and the 18-0 (12-0 MIAC) Tommies.

Hot Shooting, Solid Defense Leads Men’s Basketball To 78-55 Win At Augsburg

The Gustavus men’s basketball team Monday shot nearly 60 percent from the field, while holding Augsburg to 37 percent in a 78-55 win to complete the series sweep. Both the offensive and opponent’s shooting percentages were season bests for the Gusties as they improve to 5-14 overall and 5-9 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Power Named MIAC Women’s Hockey Athlete Of The Week

Erica Power helped her team take three of four points from Concordia over the weekend in a huge MIAC series, as her team pulled even with the Cobbers in third place, just a point out of first.

Men’s Basketball Looking For Series Sweep At Augsburg Tonight

After snapping a six-game losing streak Saturday, the Gustavus men’s basketball team is looking for a series sweep tonight at Augsburg. Tipoff of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game is set for 7 p.m. at Si Melby Hall Gymnasium. The Gusties enter the contest 4-14 overall and 4-9 in the MIAC after a 68-55 win over Saint Mary’s, while the Auggies are 8-9 overall and 6-6 in the league after a 91-89 win versus Hamline.

Men’s Basketball Defensive Effort Leads To 68-55 Win Over Saint Mary’s

The Gustavus men’s basketball team Saturday allowed a season-low 55 points to Saint Mary’s and was able to close out the game with strong defensive play for a 68-55 victory. The league win moves the Gusties to 4-14 overall and 4-9 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Cardinals fall to 5-12 overall and 3-10 in the conference. The victory also keeps an impressive win streak intact as Gustavus owns a 33-0 all-time record against the Cardinals at Gus Young Court, dating back to 1984 when Lund Center opened.

Women’s Hockey And Cobbers Skate to 2-2 Draw

The Gustavus women's hockey team and Concordia College battled to a 2-2 tie Saturday afternoon at Don Roberts Ice Rink to take three out of four points in the series with the Cobbers. With the tie, the Gusties move their record to 11-5-3 overall, 7-2-3 MIAC.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team Saturday dropped the series finale 3-2 in overtime against Concordia. This loss moves the Gusties to 2-13-4 overall and 1-8-1 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, while the Cobbers improve to 11-7-1 overall and 5-4-1 in the league.
